Once I read a quote which goes like this: "Chase your passion, not your pension." It is a very inspiring quote and certainly I am on my way to chasing my passion. I have always been interested and passionate about fashion design since I was really young. I remember criticising my parents' clothes and drawing a lot of pictures of women in different outfits. I read many fashion blogs religiously.
Although my parents never forbid me from becoming a fashion designer, but like most other parents, they prefer me to study science, mathematics, etc to art. After finishing high school, I did not know what I wanted to do. I was told that working as a lawyer makes really good money and can live comfortably. So I went to a law school and then went to work as a consultant for an accounting firm. I often felt bored doing what I did because they were not creative enough. After working there for a year, I decided to quit and chase my life long passion. I started my fashion design course last week at Sydney TAFE.
