First day as an intern

Hi all,

I just want to share a little about my first day as an intern. I was surprised to find that my internship is especially physical and exhausting but fun. On my first day, I did a lot of unpicking seams, cutting fabric, giving clothes tags, and cutting sequins. On a hindsight, I think I learned a lot on that day. That day was the first day I cut silk. I also saw how a fashion business was run. I saw the interaction between designers, machinist and sales. I am glad that I get the chance to do that early in my fashion career. Will keep you updated!

Fashion illustrations

This week at School, we were exploring the concept of shapes and structures. For homework, I was asked to illustrate two outfits with collars and sleeves, one of which showed the use of internal lines and another that used external lines. 

My first fashion illustration homework last week asked me to illustrate the use of lines in fashion. It needed to be a simple dress. So here it is:

Fashion internship

Dear friends,

The past two days have been extremely exciting for me. I finally got a fashion internship. The first ever and just two weeks into the course. I can tell you that it took a lot of persuasion to get in. You need to persist. For those who are looking at the moment, you need to keep emailing them and following your application up.

I still do not know what kind of tasks I will be given. Regardless, I can't wait to get started! Will keep you updated!

Lady Gaga!!!

Guess who is coming to Sydney??? Lady Gaga!!! Yay, super excited! 

I was so lucky that I got a ticker to see her concert in June this afternoon. It was quite expensive but I am sure it will be fantastic. 

I even designed an outfit for Gaga. Hope you like it!
